20 Awesome Survival Books for Kids

     All kids should read these classics, as well as the other books on the list.  This article, from Mom with a Prep, does say that kids wouldn't lose anything by not reading all three of the books in the hunger Games trilogy.  I disagree with that.  There is a lot to be learned in all three of the books.  Not necessarily about preparedness and survival, but resilience, loyalty, and serving your community.  Those are probably the most important aspects you can take from that series.

5 Uncommon Skills That Will Be Useful After the SHTF

     Another good article from Backdoor Survival.  Make sure you take the time to learn at least one, if not two, of these skills.  The can be very important, even in normal times.

Newest Homeschool Project

Well...here is a pic of our newest homeschool project.  This is the first really long term project.  Some have lasted over a summer or a winter but this will be their first multi-year project.

They were almost a week old at this point and already feathering out.
